Why are we adopting the member engagement methodology?

Every person needs two things - to be needed and known. Through our new Member Engagement Solution, we will take important steps to know and engage well with our members. We believe that when we successfully connect to the members of our church and equip them with information that is relevant to them and the next steps in their faith walk, they will be better equipped to reach people for Jesus. The Membership Engagement Methodology seeks to create a new level of engagement with the individual church member in the digital sphere by customizing the Life Fellowship Mobile App.

How does this add value to the way we are currently doing church?

We believe the updated App will add tremendous value to our members, attendees and Staff.

FOR MEMBERS + ATTENDEES

Next Steps: Know where they are in their faith journey.
Personalized Content: Receive communication that is important and relevant to them.
Discipleship(Mobilization): Help others do the same.

FOR OUR STAFF

Next Steps: Know where our members and attendees are in their faith journey and their appropriate Next Step.
Personalized Content: Reduce the “noise” and increase engagement by communicate personalized information that is valuable to our members and their families.
Discipleship(Mobilization): Pastor our members and attendees well by knowing who they are, what they need, and which steps are next in their journey by utilizing the Staff Portal in the mobile app.

How does it work?

Step 1: Download or Update the Life Fellowship Mobile App. Note: If someone already has the app it’ll automatically update.
Step 2: Verify your identity using your phone number or email.
Step 3: Start scrolling through personalized and relevant content.

Will this replace ALL of my communications?

No. There's a difference between ministry vs. promo communications. Ministry communications should still be done at the ministry level (important weekly reminders/announcements to volunteer teams, group leaders, etc.) Promo communications should be done at a centralized level (event promos, registrations/sign-ups, etc.)

Dashboard helps us be better at promo communications.

Can I see ALL of the messages for my ministry on my dashboard so I know they are going out?

No. Ultimately, we want to build a trusting relationship with the teams. Due to the way, audiences can be segmented, it would be very difficult for ministries to see every message. (Ex. We may promote small group kick-off to several different audiences segments based on their demographics)

How many messages can I put in the app?

You won’t actually put any messages in the app, the Communications Team will. As a part of our promotion strategy, we will work with you to create a plan that utilizes the best comms channel for your event. There may be an occasion when the app isn’t the best method. But, we’ll also introduce other comms channels that may perform better for the type of comm you are requesting.

Will we still have stage announcements?

Yes. But, our goal is to minimize the amount of announcements and drive people to the app.
Announcement time can be more relational, focused on one or two key priorities.
